Mare shop: fingerless gloves for dragons and exotic birds costumes

Above: fingerless gloves hand made in green gradient color. I love them, they make your hands like dragon-paws!

Mare shop is a lovely little craft store based in Latvia  that  features a lovely collection of hand-knitted and crocheted gloves, mittens and headbands. And you may think, an article about gloves in summer! well some of the models seem "light" enough for any season, and I didn't want to miss to feature this cute little store. :) So I had to bookmark it with this wee article so I don't loose the track :)

I like these mittens also in white because they look so delicate, romantic and feminine made of  100% wool yarn

I love this pair of white ones, they're so romantic looking. I also like the fact that the pattern makes it look like scales :) so even if this is casual wear it also fits for a fantasy costume featuring pixie wear or even dragon-related elements.

They also make headbands, longer mittens and of course for forthcoming wintery seasons all sorts of comfortable and warm knitted items... :)

Above: rainbow gradient dragon scale gloves. I like that they have a selection of gloves with very striking color gradients that makes you look of exotic birds. I think they would make a great compliment to a dragon-lady or even fairies.

Deidre dreams: Crowning fairies with all colors of the rainbow

Above: frost-ice queen headpiece in white and blue. I love the wool she used<· by Deirdre Dreams

Deidre Dreams is the lovely crafts store run by designer Deidre  Gubbels based in the Netherlands.  She lives in a small town in the South of the Netherlands in between rolling hills and meadows, where nature can provide inspiration for her colourful and vibrant fairy collection. Raised by a hippie and liberal family, she learnt from her grandmother to crochet which she uses in combination with her own sculpted pieces in  polymer clay to embellish and create unique headpieces and accessories.

So the store offers a collection of hippie, pixie, goth, fairy, boho and mermaid girls will find for sure some treats in this shop, full of  colourful, crazy, handmade jewelry and accessories, made with clay, beads, rhinestones, yarn, feathers and obviously nourishing from a strong imagination.  Even tribal, flappers and burlesque dancers will find their treasures here. It also has an echo-friendly look and spirit into it.

It is obvious she loves colour, as many of the pieces are multi-coloured and quite striking and I'd say some even daring in unusual colour combinations :). She also have items in blacks and whites for people that want something less cheery.  Still even if I am more prone to more sober tones, I found some of the colorful items just absolutely cute and "yummy delicious" like this necklace :, it makes me think in "Goblin's forbidden fruit" :)

She showcases too a notorious influence from fantasy movies she loved (from Disney to Burton) but also nourishes from deeper and mythical and pagan elements :)

Below one of my favorite headpieces, suitable for alternative brides too. So romantic in wintery whites. :)  hand crocheted around bendy wire,so the wreath  making it adjustable and sturdy.

Deidre´s offers not only headpieces but also necklaces, pendants, and earrings that feature her own sculpting work using polymer clay.

Above: "Golden Light of Summer Sunset" green fairy necklace using hand dyed and handpun yarn wrapped with gold thread and a lovely pendant in green and golden hues.

Also she is very friendly and communicative and welcome contact for any custom-made piece order or repeating a similar piece if the one you already like is sold :)

The sleeves seems flowing and really well done, hope to be able to have one soon. I will highlight their chemises and undergarments, specially the Renaissance and also fairy pixie models with sheer organzas and petals. I have a week spot for all things fairy. :) Some of the examples at the store are a bit too vibrant in hues for my taste, but then the designer  gently offers the possibility to custom order your color and even to pick fabrics, so the final result will be for sure just perfect.

Chemises are offered in a variety of models from tops to full night gowns, perfect as underwear for your corsets. They also have a selection of lovely bodices to go along with them, some also reversible with their designed  embroidered patterns.

Black Pin is a lovely millinery store based in Scotlan run by Terri Tovill and featuring victorian, gothic, steampunk and Burlesque top hats. But also 18th century  tricorns, headpieces and fascinators.  Do you remember our special article about Marie Antoinnete's rococo fashion? Well this is a lovely addition to it. Different styles of victorian, from top hats for a Mad Hatter, to riding and mourning hats and even mini-top hats in burlesque fashion, and all are handmade  with vibrant velvets, organza, silks, leather, and lush vibrant materials and of course to measure. Mimsy Crowns Deborah Harper: Amazing fairy princess headpieces

Above: Mermaid Headpiece by Mimsy Crowns.

Oh another enchanting magical discovery :)! :) I cannot find words to express how much I love these headpieces. I am a big fan of czech and russian vintage fantasy movies and they used to portray this kind of headpieces in many of them. I think that is mostly the reason I always remember Sadko (1953) and The Czech version of the Little Mermaid  Malá morská víla (1976) among others. :) Below you can see stills from those two movies, curiously both portraying underwater princesses.

Above: Stills from Sadko (1953) and The Little Mermaid (1976)

Below Headpiece custom made by Deborah Harper from Mimsy Crowns  :) It reminds me so much to those in such Eastern European fairytales. It would made also a lovely crown for a Snow queen. So sparkly and ethereal.

Mimsy Crowns is run by crafter  Deborah Harper spent much of her childhood and early artistic development in the artisan village of Carmel, California. Inspired by the beauty and whimsical atmosphere of that area, she became a prolific painter and sculptor.
A move to Los Angeles prompted her to venture into original clothing design which resulted in her becoming a fashion designer for several of MGM Studio’s top television shows. Deborah now brings her expertise in specialized fabrics and design to her hand crafted lamps, crowns and head pieces. And OH MY GOD! what headpieces, royal, massive, vibrant and absolutely unique. Of course we are talking about one of a kind items and though she lists "custom-made"  You can have a look also the her etsy store where she lists some custom-orders that she can replicate in "similar" not exact fashion and already to go articles if you don´t have the patient to wait ;-)

Another of my favorites as I'm having a weakness for green lately. This one is the Forest Nymph crown, in all hues of greens.  In fact she has crowns fitting for almost every season and element :) They inmediatly make you think of that. Perfect for Dryads :)

Some of them are fitting for fairytale princesses, others shows other inspirations like Art Noveau and even Nepal and Chinese headpieces. They make a lovely option for tribal bellydancers and are even reasonably priced considering  the fact that a lot of sewing, beads and all kind of materials, fabrics and ribbons  are meticulously mingled to render unique pieces.

You can also network with Mimsy Crowns in Facebook.

I feel now very inspired to try to make something for my own, and I've bookmarked this delightful store for inspiration :) though I cannot hope to render such quality and lovely blend and I hope to be able to catch one of her crowns in the near future :)
I too want to feel like a Eastern fairytale princess :)

Above: Peacock Fairy Ballerina by Sajeela Design

Sajeela Design is a delightful store based in the capital of the Spectacle! Las Vegas! They offer a collection of items from full show girl costumes (very sexy and daring) to mermaid tails, feathered boas, ruffs and bras, and even matching shoes. All colourful, striking and sexy. I stumbled upon them because I happened to see their "Poison Ivy" corset and thought that is so fairy :) I want it so badly, snif :) I'm having like a "green" obsession lately :) You can also find them in etsy Sajeela Design

Above: poison ivy corset/bodice dress, the green feather wings are also made by them.

Let´s face the fact that if you have a stunning body you could have a very clear advantage wearing  some of their sexier items like the feathered bras, but if you don't like to expose so much they also have full bodices like this one.

And also long skirts for shy girls like me, loving this peacock green long skirt, they also all sort of matching peacock theme items to match

But not only fairy, flappers, showgirl, boas, feather fans even burlesque...  Don't miss your chance to have a look :)

Devi Clothing: Goddess tribal pixie wear with leaf and nature patterns

Devi Clothing  is an UK based company that showcase lovely tribal eco-friendly pixie-fairy wear. The collection fuses several styles but emanates a very earthly and elvish  influence as if  sewn by fairy-hand. Colors range from brown to greens, and some items even fits for Burlesque, Steampunk and tribal dancers. Devi clothing shows a catalogue that goes from dresses, skirts, vests to even full woollen coats. Indeed magical but also very wearable yet still with a touch of "mystical". The entire collection is something fantasy lovers could wear not only in the forest or parties conventions or gatherings  but also on a daily basis.

Above  Persephone top & Gaia skirt   2.  Lyssa top & Venus skirt   3.  Aphrodite dress

Above: Psyche waistcoat with inner cut-work pattern

Loving this bag, they also have hip belts and other accessories with beautiful leaves and butterfly motifs . They use a special cutwork technique to mimic the leaf nerves and butterfly wings. They use it also in many of their items like skirts, vests and even stockings, making easy to find your "full outfit" and items to match.

I'm loving the bags and hip belts, fairy, practical :)
